Blessed are you, Mary,  exalted Daughter of Sion! You are highly favored and full of grace,  for the Spirit of God descended upon you. We magnify the Lord  and rejoice with you  for the gift of the Word made flesh,  our bread of life and cup of joy. The Magnificat also known as Canticle of Mary My soul proclaims the greatness of the lord,  my spirit rejoices in God my Savior  for He has looked with favor on His lowly servant.  From this day all generations will call me blessed:  the Almighty has done great things for me, and holy is His name. He has mercy on those who fear Him in every generation. He has shown the strength of His arm,  He has scattered the proud in their conceit. He has cast down the mighty from their thrones,  and has lifted up the lowly. He has filled the hungry with good things,  and the rich He has sent away empty. One Little Rose I would rather have one little rose From the garden of a friend Than to have the choicest flowers  When my stay on earth must end. I would rather have one pleasant word In kindness said to me  Than flattery when my heart is still And life has ceased to be. I would rather have a loving smile From friends I know are true Than tears shed round my casket When this world I’ve bid adieu. Bring me all your flowers today Whether pink, or white, or red; I’d rather have one blossom now Than a truckload when I’m dead. When I googled the title of the prayer, I was led to a site about  Little Rose Farron who was stigmatic and lived her last years able to consume only the Eucharist and liquid foods. Happy Birthday, Momma April 1, 2014 Happy Birthday, Momma! I am sending you a Spiritual Bouquet to celebrate your everlasting love that  you showed Charlie and me throughout our childhood years  and into our adulthood. You were always there  for whatever tribulations  we encountered,  and you were certainly there  for all our milestones. No matter how many years have passed,  there are times I wish that  just one more time I could hear your laughter, like when you blitzed Charles playing gin! Are the two of you now playing cards? Blessed Virgin Mary,  who can worthily repay you with praise and thanks  for having rescued a fallen world by your generous consent!   Receive our gratitude,  and by your prayers obtain the pardon of our sins.  Take our prayers into the sanctuary of heaven  and enable them to make our peace with God.
