Day of the Dead : This practice originated in Mexico, and has since spread throughout the world.  I became better acquainted with Day of the Dead after a student’s parent led my class in the celebration of it. I've always enjoyed coloring, especially with colored pencils. My youngest son told me that science reports that coloring can be a calming activity.  Ha! I knew that already, but it is good that it’s valued, and I’m not just an adult  who didn’t want to give up “childish” activities.  Recently I found a mandala coloring book. stern looking baby Mom’s face full of joy and pride older sister too I have a vivid memory of my sitting on the blue divan and Momma’s putting my baby brother Charlie on my lap.  He was adorable and sweet.  His sweet nature never changed. He was so well-thought of that his home improvement customers not only came to Charlie’s funeral but chose to speak of how Charlie made them feel.
