The Last Name of Ruttan - My husband’s family can be traced from four brothers who immigrated from France to Canada and the state of New York.  My husband’s father and his siblings were born in Canada.  Listed below are Ruttans found in the online Wikipedia . I do not know any of these people personally, but they quite possibly could be related to my husband's relatives.  . A few years ago at the Christmas Gift and Hobby Show in Indianapolis, we saw a display of a man whose last name was Rutan . Curiosity led us to talk to him about his name. He said he’d traced his family from four brothers from France. It’s probable that somewhere along the line the extra ‘n’ was added. Who knows why- we don’t.
