The Wonders of An Autumn Sunrise

The Wonders of An Autumn Sunrise Early morning grumbles,  drinking my coffee, I come  to terms with yet another early rising. Checking for keys, swim bag and purse, I stride to my car, stow my gear then back out of my driveway. Easing around the corner that faces east, I stop at the sight of the spectacular sky.  And even though, I’m in awe, I have presence of mind to pull over and park then wrangle my camera out of my purse which is in my trunk. In rapid succession, I save the beauty in front of me for posterity. Thank you, my God, for making this day and showing me yet another wonderful side of your creation. Hoosier Quote: “Men are not flattered by being shown that there has been a difference of purpose between the Almighty and them.” ~Abraham Lincoln~

ABC WEDNESDAY: Xanthophyll

xanthophyll brings change during my fav’rite season- exquisite autumn! joining others  at ABC WEDNESDAY  created by Mrs. Nesbitt maintained by the ever faithful Roger and hosted this week by Joy Information found at-  http://en.mimi.hu/biology/xanthophyll.html Xanthophyll (originally phylloxanthin) is the yellow pigment found in the leaves of most plants.  It is involved in photosynthesis along with green chlorophyll, which typically covers up the yellow except in autumn. Hoosier Quote: “No town can fail of beauty,  though its walks be gutters and its houses hovels,  if venerable trees make a magnificent colonnade along its streets.” ~Henry Ward Beecher~

NONNIE'S HAIKU ABOUT FIRE

autumn's rich colors spark a fire of reverence for the Creator Jesus’ apostles ablaze with fire lit by Him...  God’s begotten Son "fire" prompt from Haiku Horizons Hoosier Quote: “God washes the eyes by tears until they can behold  the invisible land where tears shall come no more.” ~Henry Ward Beecher~

Ode to Autumn's Splendor

Behold the colors hand-painted by the Creator. Is any artist’s palette more lovely than this? As I gaze at His creation, I am in awe because of this splendor and my heart swells with gratitude.   November 6, 2014

Autumn Poem

The wind whispers through the maple trees, Turning the leaves over to reveal their silvery glow. As the sunlight hits upon the deck, leafy shadows play. The fragrance of autumn wafts under my nose, Delighting me with all the senses that are the essence of fall.
