NONNIE'S CARPE DIEM HAIKU: Experience and Education

certified teacher sustained education by colleagues & pupils other haikus at Kristjaan's  CARPE DIEM HAIKU KAI My partner teacher at my last school introduced me to   Workshop Way®   and its philosophy created by Sister Grace Pilon. Armed with a summer workshop learning the philosophy, I set about initiating the program in my classroom that fall. The children developed independence in learning and I, the teacher, had time to work with small groups for further instruction and practice in concepts not understood.  The end result was I became a more accepting teacher for each child, and that in turn, made them accepting of each other.  I wish that all teachers could be introduced to this philosophy during their college years.
