Thursday evening, I rejoiced because I am part of a large extended family that includes a young musician.  Because of him, I was invited to Yorktown Bands Winter Concert.  It was well attended by relatives from siblings to grandparents.  The world is a better place because of the hard work of the music teachers and the students.  Here are some photos from the concert and a few short videos.

And ask, "What can we do, Lord, as a nation to better this world?" If words in prayer do not come, perhaps these words from Scripture might help:        2 Corinthians 4:8-9 " We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not driven to despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed."
