"Pretty is, as pretty does" is an old adage. So what does the pretty petunia do? It brings pleasure to my senses. Isn't that enough? with pleasure I'm linking to Macro Monday 2 and ABC Wednesday with the word ' ianthine ' which means violet-coloured!

photo walk by Oakhurst Gardens ' environs a former Ball family home A friend and a teacher  at Ball State University is working on a web site to acquaint her foreign students with what's interesting and fun about our town. So I volunteered to check out all that is here at Minnetrista and Oakhurst Gardens. So with camera in hand, I sauntered through the gardens and by the homes that had once been the family homes of the Ball family. (The five brothers founded the Ball canning jars 100 years ago here in Muncie, Indiana.) They were wealthy philanthropists. Thus, our hospital and university are named for them. Except for the initial photo, I've used only the photos from my walk that included the brilliantly sunlit sky viewed on Wednesday. I admire her for this decision. I was surprised to see such an enormous store that specializes in oranically grown food. Her sister and I came to pick up food f or our supper that night.  tasty,  organic  prepared by my granddaughter spinach pasta, yum! After I had taken the 18th photo, I pulled the plug because I wanted to eye the foods without being concerned where was the best spot to capture all the goodies. Next time I visit, I think I'll try one of these- probably the pizza. linked to Signs 2

With the sky looking foreboding forecast-rain. pending storm? time, around 9 a.m.   last look before entering my car ten hours later ... sky mostly blue, no rain yet   about five minutes later... would you believe it? where I am it's 4:02 p.m. and still no rain! oops, I spoke too soon! finally the rain has arrived after its being predicted for two or three days. well, after a two-minute deluge, the rain has stopped! that's April in Indiana! uh...two minutes later, raining once again! never a dull moment weather-wise linking to Petunia's Himmelsk

Snowy fog obliterates sky even its blueness. more heavenly images here I took this photo yesterday morning. When I uploaded it, I thought that I might have  clicked on the black and white setting. But, no, looking very carefully I see blue on the most-frontal dark building, and I spy some orange on a very small building to the right rear of the photo.
