Haiku My Heart

come, sweet Madonna,
sit beside me and pervade
my being with trust

the soothing water soundscome from here

water rippling, softly
soothing away the tenseness
leaving serenity

What a pretty pond - I can imagine being infused with serenity if I was able to sit beside it for a hwile. Lovely words - thank you.

Your first haiku is a beautiful prayer. The second is the prayer, answered. Wonderful, gentle, soothing, peaceful.

Peace

This is lovely. The sound of water is so soothing.
I would imagine that the Madonna is eager to answer such a prayer.

My Lady Wisdom

Your garden must be a joy, Norma.
So much to enjoy,
every nook a little altar of praise,
of reflection,
of honor
to the Earth and Creator.

Thank you, Lisa, but this lovely garden is Oakhurst Gardens at Minnetrista. Its location is the site of the homes of the Ball Brothers. It's an exquisite place to visit! Flicker has more images of the gardens at this site- http://www.flickr.com/photos/becca3k/sets/72157623934818180/detail/

Your first haiku sounds like a 'mantra', said often enough our whole being would be infused with 'trust' I think.....x

So lovely Norma your photo and these prayers... asked and answered... you asked about my photo, it was this August full moon, taken through the leaves of trees then enhanced with photoshop. I wanted to turn the night sky into a lake... we must both be yearning for the serenity of water.

Nice post, fine photos!
I wish you a great Sunday!

..., and yes, it is an outdoor play!

what a beautiful spot to sit in.
The sound of soothing water is rare in the desert, so all the more welcome when it happens. (There's a fickle little seasonal stream nearby.)

What a sublime pond you have...complete with water lilies, no less! If that doesn't sooth your soul, nothing will! My Dad and I made a pond together a few years back...I bought water plants for it from the Farmer's market, and the raccoons had a feast that night! Ha!

oh, that it were mine, Dawn! But it does exist close enough (at Oakhurst Gardens) that I can go whenever I feel like it.
