SEPIA SATURDAY: Bridge over the Wabash River


This photo was found online; I edited it to get the sepia effect.

This 1988 photo was taken by me when my cousin and I visited Vincennes, IN, to make our own "Roots" album of places that had deep meaning for us in our childhood.

Love bridges like this that have some sort of statue at either end. There's one here in Northern California that has bears on either side of the road that have been painted gold. It's always a treat to cross that bridge. Do you know what the statues are of on this one?

I know only what is on the Indiana side of the bridge. On the right pylon, facing Illinois, is Chief Tecumseh; on the left pylon is Tecumweh's brother "The Prophet" Tenskwatawa.
