Hi Norma from over at the Sisterhood Of the Traveling Scarf! Our group of ladies was actually born out of praying for a special lady named Arlene who has since went home to be with the Lord, we are a part of her legacy.
The idea for our group was inspired by the book, "Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants". Our first adventure was passing a scarf around, then an apron (we blogged recipes), a bible (we shared our testimony and life verses from the Bible).
This latest adventure was inspired by one of the sisters going on and on about lost socks and it has us rolling in stitches. So, the theme for this latest adventure is based on Romans 10:15, "How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things."
We just started and I was the first sister to receive a sock in the mail. It is a brand new sock and it's my job to purchase a lively pair of socks. One I will wear along with the sock that was sent to me. When my week is up, I will send the other, unused, brand-new sock to the next lady on the adventure.
I am sure some people think this is too silly for words but we have a lot of fun. These ladies are wonderful, beautiful and love the Lord. If any of us is in need of prayer, all we have to do is ask and these gals will storm the gates of heaven on your behalf. We have ladies from all over the US, to Canada, Japan, Norway and the Philippines.
