our gas seems to go up or down by a fraction of a cent or so every few days. currently it is $1.29/ litre (as I filled up earlier today)

I'm sure of that! Gas prices will never go down, I am afraid.

So that old saying, "What goes up must come down" is a fallacy? ;)

I remember when gas was $1.25 a gallon!

I remember in 1975 (we had just moved out in the country AND we'd just bought a station wagon) and gas prices went up to $2 a gallon. I'd love to have that price now!

Back in the 1960s my Dad told me that gas prices would be over $2.00 per gallon. Didn't take long for his prediction to come true.

Oh, I was unaware about the prices in 1960s because I did little driving in that decade because I was too busy taken care of three babies!
