ABC Wednesday: Facia

Justice is a clothing shop for girls.
You can visit their web site here.

The word 'facia' means
nameplate or sign above shop.

Justice, a strange name,
in it girls' clothing, footwear-
all the latest trends.

While visiting
The Phrontistery
I spied the word 'fagin.'
That brilliant author Dickens
used this noun for the
crooked character's name!
So I had to share it
even though, thankfully,
I had no photo of such a person.

fagin: an adult who instructs others in crime.

sometimes I think the way little girls dress is a crime and the folks who push them to grow up so fast are fagin.

Brilliant F post!
Yes Fagin was a scoundrel but he was played by a great actor. This role was essential for the musical. Without him the musical wouldn't have been half as successful. Oliver Twist is another musical that I love to see.
Have a great rest of the week!

Believe me, with two granddaughters I have been to Justice MANY TIMES.

I suspect that fagin is an eponym! (See my ABCW from LAST week!)

Nice shop 'Justice' and just the right place for young girls!! It is different here and I do not see any all exclusive store for girls here!! They just share a corner in a larger shop!! :(

I agree that Justice seems like a strange name for a clothing store. Hmmm. I bet it means something to someone though. :))

my granddaughters love shopping at Justice. I take them there for a special treat. I think they try on everything in the store just to choose one outfit. Great fun for a grandma.

Pondering about My Blog

I've been through quite a bit these past months that I haven't posted.  First, packing and moving and then unpacking . The first step of unpacking was my taking down boxes that were five and six boxes high.  About two weeks after I’d moved and was in the midst of unpacking, I developed horrendous pain in my ribs. I slathered on my gel I use to alleviate Fibromyalgia pain. Realizing that even that was not helping. Trying to make a long story short- Asked for pain pills No help; asked for another kind Doctor wanted to see me Went in- he didn’t understand why I was still in pain Sent me to get x-rays Diagnosis: compressed fracture in my 9th vertebra Cause: osteporosis Now on meds for that I’ve discovered that anytime I overdo, pain comes back, not quite full-blown, but enough that I must stop doing whatever I’m doing. That includes sitting at my computer writing. I wanted to bring my friends up-to-date; I’m pondering whether I should stop blogging altogether o
