ABC Wednesday: J as in Jungle

as I gazed upon
my photos,
the mental connection
to a
"jungle"
popped into my brain!
fallen limbs,
river flowing through,
vines connecting, drooping
it's surely the closest
I'll ever come to a jungle!

 I savored walking
the river trail yesterday.
temperature was in the 60s
warm enough
to wear a denim shirt
sights changed
from the last trek
perhaps I let
my imagination run wild,
but I was feeling
pleased and glad
to be mobile.

Your poem can also be applied to my photos! I can understand that you want a pillow of your husband on the empty place in bed. It took me some time to get used to the empty place in my house. Coming home in an empty house, it is terrible, but I got used to it.

I just love this time of year when the temperature is cooler, but the leaves are still on the trees with a few just starting to change colour. I bet you had a jolly good walk along the river! I took the dog on a trail this morning and was thankful the mosquitos seems to have gone.

Leslie, it's one of my favorites (spring is the other). I thoroughly enjoyed myself.

I too have got used to it, but there are times that I wished that there were someone beside my two cat waiting.

It certainly is a wonderful time to walk though your jungle. Our temps are finally coming down here in Kansas. Will be in the 70's tomorrow.

Had one of those "jungles" in my backyard for many years. So we moved.

Pondering about My Blog

I've been through quite a bit these past months that I haven't posted.  First, packing and moving and then unpacking . The first step of unpacking was my taking down boxes that were five and six boxes high.  About two weeks after I’d moved and was in the midst of unpacking, I developed horrendous pain in my ribs. I slathered on my gel I use to alleviate Fibromyalgia pain. Realizing that even that was not helping. Trying to make a long story short- Asked for pain pills No help; asked for another kind Doctor wanted to see me Went in- he didn’t understand why I was still in pain Sent me to get x-rays Diagnosis: compressed fracture in my 9th vertebra Cause: osteporosis Now on meds for that I’ve discovered that anytime I overdo, pain comes back, not quite full-blown, but enough that I must stop doing whatever I’m doing. That includes sitting at my computer writing. I wanted to bring my friends up-to-date; I’m pondering whether I should stop blogging altogether o

Quirky Poem

Have humans sat here? Not recently, I think. Perhaps a snow couple rested for a while, and the shadowy remnants of them remain. more Cool Clicks
