Random 5 Friday

1. Snow, and more snow. In case I haven’t shared,
here’s my take on winter- as an adult,
I’ve often wished that I could stay inside for the entire season!
However, I do like photographing winter scenes!
What to do with that conundrum?

2. I love getting snail mail,
(letters, cards, not flyers and such
wanting my limited funds)
3. I very much want to see the movie “Saving Mr. Banks,”
but I dislike going by myself.
4. Although my birthday is coming soon,
I do NOT want a party.
(Heed this, sweet granddaughters, please.)
5. I’m almost finished reading Circle of Bones
by Christine Kling on my Kindle.

If she has Riley, the main female character, die,
I’m going to be mighty unhappy.

I've been looking at all your snow pictures and imagining how difficult getting around must be for you at the moment. Looking at the photos though is very enjoyable.

I am enjoying the beauty of this winter here in the northeast. The bitter cold, however, is abit much. I love snail mail and often have envie swaps with my art group. Much nicer to get beautiful art in the mail, instead of the dreaded bills. Oh, and I don't do birthdays anymore. I do say, however, that my kids are getting older, but I refuse! Aloha

If you were closer I'd go to that movie with you. Bill and I went to see August in Osage County a couple of weeks ago, so he gets to pick the next one. It won't be Saving Mr Banks, I know that for sure!
i love letter too - wish the postage would quit increasing though. that plain stinks. ( :

Beth, if you'd compare our postage costs with those of other countries, I think you'd change how you view it.

Sallie, that would be fun!

Yes, it is, GB! Tomorrow 40 degrees with rain is predicted. So hopefully a lot will melt. However, Sunday is to bring temperature of 20 degrees F. Yikes!

I love snow, and I enjoy getting out into it, even when it's cold. There's nothing like walking through a forest with a few inches of fresh snow underfoot. My wife and I saw Saving Mr. Banks and enjoyed it very much.

Snail mail is the best and I want to intentionally send more this year.

Pondering about My Blog

I've been through quite a bit these past months that I haven't posted.  First, packing and moving and then unpacking . The first step of unpacking was my taking down boxes that were five and six boxes high.  About two weeks after I’d moved and was in the midst of unpacking, I developed horrendous pain in my ribs. I slathered on my gel I use to alleviate Fibromyalgia pain. Realizing that even that was not helping. Trying to make a long story short- Asked for pain pills No help; asked for another kind Doctor wanted to see me Went in- he didn’t understand why I was still in pain Sent me to get x-rays Diagnosis: compressed fracture in my 9th vertebra Cause: osteporosis Now on meds for that I’ve discovered that anytime I overdo, pain comes back, not quite full-blown, but enough that I must stop doing whatever I’m doing. That includes sitting at my computer writing. I wanted to bring my friends up-to-date; I’m pondering whether I should stop blogging altogether o

Quirky Poem

Have humans sat here? Not recently, I think. Perhaps a snow couple rested for a while, and the shadowy remnants of them remain. more Cool Clicks
