Squirrel on the Move

 Opening my door,
I discovered this little guy
sitting so still. I was surprised
that he didn't jump down immediately
and head for the oak tree
just behind him.

 but, no, here he stays...
long enough for me to snap several shots.

 Now he's on the move...
moving closer to the
stair railing.

"I'm out of here!"
From here he leaped down on the snow
and disappeared into the
heretofore unseen snow tunnel!

Lucky YOU! All the squirrels around here are serious duck and cover artists.

Not sure what happened there but I just posted a comment on the wrong post. I meant to say that if I'd got these squirrel pictures I'd have been really chuffed.

GB, since I monitor comments, I deleted your other comment. I seldom have squirrels come onto my deck, unline youngest son whose deck was always cluttered with the leavings of whatever the squrrels ate. In his newer home, he has no problems like that.
cheers!

He is a sweetie. Good of him to stay so you could take his pictures. I wish you a great weeekend!
He was waiting for peanuts. Or blackoil sunflower seeds!

Waiting to see if you would feed him. They are intelligent little creatures. One used to come sit on my shoulder when I was on patio with peanuts. He would snatch one and run.
