Questions for Blogspot Bloggers

After prayer and days of pondering,
I honestly do not like the idea of beginning a new blog and all the minutiae that goes with that.
The idea that finally drifted into my head is to combine the essence of both
my blogs into one.  Also I will combine their titles
into one.  For example, Nonnie's Faith in a Bottle.
My questions:
1. Will my blog continue keeping my followers,
just by changing the title (the header) in the Layout section?
2. Or do I have to start a new blog?
3. Has anyone done this before?
4. Were there any diverse consequences?
Please honor me with your ideas and/or advice.
Many thanks!

Not really sure Norma. I'd like to do that too. I think Hettienne did this. You know her blog, just ask her, I'm sure she will tell you how to do it. Have a great day.

I don't think there's any straightforward or 'right' answer. If you combine I think you will only be able to keep one lot of followers because you will have to use one as the 'base' blog. Many followers on a longstanding blog tend to have fallen away anyway or only come for a short while. I have two blogs which I use dependant upon whether I'm living here (New Zealand) or Scotland. My staunch blogfriends follow both but some only follow one. I'm pretty sure that creating a completely new blog is the option which will lose you the most followers because everyone will have to start again and some just won't be bothered. Question: do they matter?
Dear Nonnie, you can merge your two blogs - i can find thr instructions and mail it to you - blogger then combines all your posts snd you can also choose which ones to keep. your followers do not merge though. so i would suggest that you blog about it on both blogs and then move over to the blog that has the most current active followers. i left my other blog up with a post telling evertone that i am moving and where to find me. all my active followers were already following both blogs. we have many followers who never visit, so it does not make such a difference. i find it just so much easier to have only one blog. oh and important : link the two blogs to one another in the sidebar and in your blog list - then even if someone finds a post on the inactive blog, they can still find your active blog xxxxxx

Graham, thank you for taking time to give me feedback on my questions. As for your question, some people like you and others who often take time to comment do matter to me. Those who never leave a response, I don't know who they are any way, but I appreciate any who visit either of my blogs. Your situation is different from mine in that you are writing only on one blog at a time. I have found that trying to write on two blogs is more than I can keep up with. (grr, ended with a preposition, oh, well)

Pondering about My Blog

I've been through quite a bit these past months that I haven't posted.  First, packing and moving and then unpacking . The first step of unpacking was my taking down boxes that were five and six boxes high.  About two weeks after I’d moved and was in the midst of unpacking, I developed horrendous pain in my ribs. I slathered on my gel I use to alleviate Fibromyalgia pain. Realizing that even that was not helping. Trying to make a long story short- Asked for pain pills No help; asked for another kind Doctor wanted to see me Went in- he didn’t understand why I was still in pain Sent me to get x-rays Diagnosis: compressed fracture in my 9th vertebra Cause: osteporosis Now on meds for that I’ve discovered that anytime I overdo, pain comes back, not quite full-blown, but enough that I must stop doing whatever I’m doing. That includes sitting at my computer writing. I wanted to bring my friends up-to-date; I’m pondering whether I should stop blogging altogether o
