We should all show our gratitude. Thank you for sharing these meaningful shots.
Gone too soon...I am grateful for the service your husband gave to our country. May you find peace and joy this weekend and in all the days to come!

Your husband gave the ultimate sacrifice. It is fitting he should be remembered along with all the other veterans who do the same. Blessings. xx
A fitting, sobering, heartrending tribute, Nonnie...

Dear Nonnie, This post touches me deeply. Someone asked me this weekend if with time it gets easier... I replied, not easier, but I am more able to live and cope with such a great loss and live with the grief. And I have to say... there is more space in my heart for love...

One thing I read in the early weeks after Charles died, a quote I liked said, "One does not get over someone's death, but you learn to carry on with life." I like your image of having more space in your heart for love because I think that is true. I have had two great-granddaughters born since he died. Bless you, dear Lea.
