 The mausoleums of these brothers
is located in our oldest cemetery-

Ball brothers:
William Charles, Frank Clayton, Lucius Lorenzo (seated),
Edmund Burke, George Alexander
In a nutshell,
the Ball family settled in Muncie, Indiana,
with their Ball jar factory,
contributed to establishing a hospital
and was a philanthropic family.
The hospital (Ball Hospital- IU Health) still retains their name with
IU Health added at the end.
Our university is named for them-
Ball State University.
Their philanthropy lives on through
the Ball Brothers Foundation.
Minnetrista, the gem of a museum in Muncie,
is located on the estate of the
various homes of the brothers.
