Shadows loom large in winter and especially on snow.

but we don't have a choice, do we, Ralph? if we did, I'd choose temps no lower than 60 and no higher than the mid 70s.

As I won't be in New Zealand for the next six months as I usually would be I'm looking forward to the possibility of some snow. I haven't seen 'proper' snow (other than up in the glaciers of South Island) for several decades.
