Loving Lupita: Orphanage in Haiti

founded by Father Andre

St. Mary Parish became acquainted
with Father Andre when he spent a summer
at our parish some years ago.
He shared his dream to house orphans
where he is based.
Thanks to a hard-working and humble lady of our parish
(I'm not using her name because she is so humble) and
others, that dream is coming true.
Our ladies' Bible Study is gathering
items to send to the children
and the adult volunteers for Christmas.
I know from previous years that
our ladies will be generous.
Who wouldn't want to make the eyes
of these darling children shine
on Christmas morning?

dearest nonnie,
to wake up each morning and reach for the light; that is how life is when we look to make a difference in the world that surrounds us. thank you dear friend for your beautiful presence as we walk the first 12 days of december together. i have missed everyone so much. it feels so comforting to walk together in this light of love and honoring, already my heart is swelling and we are only at day one!xo

Good evening Nonnie. Wish you all the best on your endeavors for Fr. Andre. You are blessed to have such a mission effort.
A lovely post dear Nonnie and what a perfect way to honor the Blessed Lady than this example - in service of others who are in need. It is wonderful to connect with you again - I have been so busy this year that my blogging had been at the bottom of the list, blessings to you
I'm sure you must be doing your part to make those children's eyes shine!

although we miss you when you're not posting, I think it best to LIVE our lives with those around us. I continue to appreciate the Mary shrine you made.
