Nonnie's Carpe Diem Haiku #733: The Wabash River

waterfall along the camino

Inspiration from Basho:
for a while
secluded behind the waterfall
summer retreat begins

From Kristaan:
the sound of water
soothing - like meditating
behind the waterfall

My Haiku:
along the Wabash
the river of childhood days
savored to this day

Hoosier Quote:
“Ocean: A body of water occupying
about two-thirds of a world made for man- who has no gills.”
~Ambrose Bierce~

Interesting series here. Water refreshes us and is vital to life, even if we can't breathe it ;)
