CARPE DIEM #756: Summer Relief

Inspirations by Jane Reichhold:
a cool wind
summer passes
before it begins

late summer
even hotter by the breath
of dragonflies

mid-summer
the sadness of knowing
days growing shorter

by Kristjaan:
naked
between summer flowers
dreaming of next summer

tears shed
on my naked body
summer is passing

My haiku:
needing relief from
torrid temperatures… too soon
 summer’s charm passes

sharing with Kristjaan's

Hoosier Quote:
“In order to live off a garden,
you practically have to live in it.”

Your haiku paints in a nice way the passing of summer Nonnie. Thank you for your nice comment on my post.

How well I can identify with your haiku ... summer is a lovely season ... August temps in June though are not so appreciated! Bastet
Yes, the warm, humid air of summer came too quickly...much prefer Spring and Fall...:)JP

Passing summer charm
Heated beast, smouldering breath
I melt, I melt, I . . .

We've been having a very lovely spring-summer. No true scorchers yet. Lovely haiku! :)
