SIGNS, SIGNS: Warning Sign

WARNING! Be aware!
Cameras are recording you.
Message?  You're safe here.

In my childhood days,
a school chum of mine lived in this apartment building.
All we had to do was open the door,
walk up the stairs to the door of her mom‘s apartment.
She used the key to open the door.
Once we were inside, we played card games without a care in the world.

I see these often and wonder if they really have a camera. The sign is a lot cheaoer than a camera. Tom The Backroads Traveller

My SIGNS, SIGNS

It is sad that there is a need for cameras everywhere, and these 'warning' signs always look so oppressive to me.
The fence and gate also looks quite secure. Something important must be protected within to have this much security.

TFG, it's an apartment complex.

Cameras are everywhere now, not even counting people's phones. Indeed, 1984's Big Brother is a part of our life for better or worse.

I suspect that they really do have cameras, plus plenty of lighting as can be seen here- https://www.facebook.com/HistoricMuncieApartments/info?tab=overview

I'd say it's a toss-up. Computers make it easier to write- no longer needing White-out or starting over again (and again, for me). But all the protections and steps we go through because of thieves and hackers bring me down at times.
Times change! We used to run all over town morning to night, just be home in time for meals....small town, not a city with apartment complexes, but the same thing... We had not a care in the world! Kids can't do that nowadays.
