I find cracked sidewalks fascinating...but they can sometimes be dangerous too!

I'd say that the shadow is about to encounter some cracks! :-)

MMT, I think that's why Father has drawn attention by the lines painted next to the cracks.
Colleen, isn't it strange that "chants" like that are started and perpetuated? thank goodness, stepping on a crack could not cause our mothers to break their back- don't you wonder how that ever got started?
