DAY 246 of NONNIE'S PHOTO A DAY: Nature's Beauty- Eggplants

beauty in nature-
eggplant, and called aubergine
by our British friends

Photo taken on grandaughter and husband's farm-

On Wikipedia, it said that the eggplant is related
to the tomato and potato.
Hmm… it looks like a squash…
it's also known as guinea squash.

I really like the deep-purple-ish color of this vegetable-fruit. We call the plant as well as the color 'aubergine' - I love your haiku! Have a great weekend, hug from the Netherlands!

Gillena, thanks for the added info.

Marit, its color drew me to photograph it, thanks for your comment. Sending a hug back to you from America!

Lea, I remember tasting eggplant in school, but I haven't had any since. So I'll need to get one and give it a try.
Beautiful eggplant, beautiful haiku!
