Nonnie's Photo A Day: On the Way to Bethlehem

Joseph… with Mary,  who’s heavy with child and drained , set for the Christ Child I had forgotten about this photo,  but technically the Christmas season  is completed with tomorrow’s Feast of the Baptism of the Lord.   The sculpture belongs to a friend. I think it's one of the most beautiful renditions of  our Blessed Mother. a second sharing with Rebecca's Haiku My Heart

A Photo A Day: My Daily Sustenance, Getting Up to Speed

A photo a day? Did you view each one each day? Not likely you say? Between pain I've been enduring for a very long time,  and the new year delivering a severe cold to me, I did not keep a promise to myself. The promise I made was to bring myself out of a funk caused partly by pain.   In the past, if I looked for the positive around me and photographed it, my spirits were lifted. Since I'm behind several days,  I've inundated my blog with the photos I took of Indiana's first snow in 2015. Also, I want to wish each and everyone of you a blessed new year.

MERRY CHRISTMAS 2014

Silent night, holy night! All is calm, all is bright. Round yon Virgin, Mother and Child. Holy infant so tender and mild, Sleep in heavenly peace, Sleep in heavenly peace Silent night, holy night! Shepherds quake at the sight. Glories stream from heaven afar Heavenly hosts sing Alleluia, Christ the Savior is born! Christ the Savior is born Silent night, holy night! Son of God love's pure light. Radiant beams from Thy holy face With dawn of redeeming grace, Jesus Lord, at Thy birth Jesus Lord, at Thy birth May the peace of the Christ Child  bring peace to our warring world. These lovely prints are gifts from middle son and his wife.  They are hanging on the wall in my hallway.
