day before leaving, was Momma giving advice to each baby bird? |
getting set time to leave the nest time to fly! |
Baby robins grow up so fast. I watched them go from bare bodies to fluffy feathers in just over a week. And off they went sometime yesterday. Unfortunately I had neither the time or ability to sit at my window long enough to capture their leaving, but I know they did because their nest is empty today. I wish them a good life. visit Rebecca and others at Haiku My Heart |

there is something so reassuring having a birds eye view of a summer nest. the mother taking care of every need, so loyal and dedicated to nurturing her young. and the day comes so soon when she must teach them to take flight!
and that task too, when the time is right, comes so fervently to her.
this will be my station in life the first of august when my one and only moves to his first apartment and finishes college at ASU. i love him for doing his first two years of college here. i will always cherish the gift of two more years together in our family home.
i am so happy and proud of him, and yes i miss him already!
Love the haiku and the thought involved with this subject.
Peace
speaking of a son going away to college...after we left our youngest at college, I cried most of the way home. but let me reassure you, this too will pass. blessings!
