NONNIE'S PHOTO A DAY: Nonnie's Random 5 & Willy Nilly 5

1. The frost patterns were on my storm door this morning
as I left to get my taxes done.
In our town, retired CPAs volunteer at two of our libraries to figure taxes.
I am so grateful for this offering of their talent at no charge.
I’m also relieved that I owe nothing on top of what I’ve paid during the year.
2. Temperatures continue to be frigid.
In spite of this, melting snow from my roof is dripping
down on the deck just outside my door and freezing. What’s with that?
3. Myah, my four-year old great-granddaughter
ate green eggs at her school on Dr. Seuss’ birthday
which was March 2.  I am surprised that it passed by me unnoticed this year.
So today, I ordered Green Eggs and Ham from Amazon for only $5.
4. I almost goofed in telling about a wedding gift
I’m creating for oldest granddaughter and her future husband.  Yikes!
5. Sadly, my oldest son’s wife lost her mother to cancer this week.
She was diagnosed only a month ago.
Of course, we’re all praying for the family.

Have free help with taxes is definitely a plus!
Hoping for an early spring for everyone this year. Seems that February and the first week of March have been especially frigid.
Sorry to hear of the loss of your son's mother-in-law; especially difficult since it happened so quickly.
I'm going to have a look around your blog!

Green Eggs and Ham, a classic! I remember every year the grade schoolers would come out to the bus (I drove a 40' transit style school bus for 15 years) wearing red and white top hats they'd made for 'Cat and the Hat Day.' Hope your weather turns soon!

thank you, Nancy.

God bless you for driving a bus. Teaching (which I did for 33 years) has to be easier than driving a bus!

What a sad, sad loss for your daughter-in-law! My prayers for she and her family. The frost is beautiful...even though I know you are tired of the cold! How cute the kids ate green eggs at school to celebrate Dr. Seuss's birthday!

Green Eggs....hmmmm not sure I would eat them but that book was a fun read a a kid.
Your frost patterns are pretty, I think though so many with all that snow are more then ready for spring to come.
So sorry about your DIL mother. Cancer is such a nasty disease.

Pondering about My Blog

I've been through quite a bit these past months that I haven't posted.  First, packing and moving and then unpacking . The first step of unpacking was my taking down boxes that were five and six boxes high.  About two weeks after I’d moved and was in the midst of unpacking, I developed horrendous pain in my ribs. I slathered on my gel I use to alleviate Fibromyalgia pain. Realizing that even that was not helping. Trying to make a long story short- Asked for pain pills No help; asked for another kind Doctor wanted to see me Went in- he didn’t understand why I was still in pain Sent me to get x-rays Diagnosis: compressed fracture in my 9th vertebra Cause: osteporosis Now on meds for that I’ve discovered that anytime I overdo, pain comes back, not quite full-blown, but enough that I must stop doing whatever I’m doing. That includes sitting at my computer writing. I wanted to bring my friends up-to-date; I’m pondering whether I should stop blogging altogether o
